1. What is a steel bridge

If the main girder of a bridge is made of steel, it is considered a steel bridge.  The bridge pier, slab, and ramp may be made of steel, concrete, asphalt and other materials.

3. Key Features

Compared to concrete bridges, steel bridges are lighter and more appropriate for long-span bridges. 
Good quality steel with high durability can be mass produced. The quality control is also easy as it is made and assembled in factories. 
Steel bridges are attractive in appearance and blend well with the surrounding environment.
Steel is 100% recyclable.  Inspection for damages is also simple as are repair, reinforcement, and disassembly.
