| Generally, steel sheets sheared by plain blanking have
rough shear sections which are not appropriate for making
precision machinery in automobiles and other industrial
machines. Therefore quality post-treatment is
needed to
eliminate the rough edges. However, post-treatment
is accompanied by a production cost increase, which
could weaken the cost competitiveness. High- carbon hot-rolled steel sheets for fine blanking
do not need post-treatment because steel cleanliness and
microstructure are secured. |
