Until recently, automobile parts that were difficult to form as one whole part, like side outer panels, were divided into several separate parts, which are formed and then welded together into one. This production method only pushed up the production cost and lowered productivity. To overcome these drawbacks, we developed the Super EDDQ Steel that can be directly formed into side outer panels with just the drawing process. An excellent deep drawing quality was achieved by minimizing carbon and nitrogen in steel. This product has a great versatility as it can be used for many other purposes.
