POS G-GREEN is a newly developed environment friendly galvanized steel product
which contains no chrome components including the Cr6+ known as a harmfulelement to humans.
When producing conventional galvanized steel products, a chromate treatmentprocess has been applied to improve corrosion resistance.
However,an international agreement to restrict the use of Cr6+ as a surface treatment for steel plate has been made.
In order to meet the environment friendly needs, POSCO has developed a brand-newproduct named "POS G-GREEN" introducing special post treatment instead ofthe conventional chromate treatment.
